Here’s what you need to know about your first visit to NEXT Community Church.
What’s the atmosphere like?
We’re a welcoming, casual place to worship. Jeans and tees, khakis and polos, dressed to the nines — whatever makes you feel the most comfortable, we’re here for it.
Worship is modern and energetic — we’re passionate about expressing ourselves in praise, but also all about cultivating intimacy with the Holy Spirit in our worship time. Checking out a video of a recent service will probably give you a better idea than anything we could write here. 🙂
What’s the teaching like?
We teach from the Bible. We know that sounds pretty basic, but we fully believe that God’s Word is perfect, and that if our thoughts, feelings, or perspectives contradict it, we’re the ones who need to change.
We look at our lives through the lens of scripture. It informs and guides us, and we do our best as imperfect people to instruct based on His Perfect Word.
Pastor Joe teaches in a style that makes the truth of God’s Word accessible and engaging (and no, he didn’t write this. :)). If you want a sample, again, our videos will probably help.
What about our kids?
We LOVE your kids! We have safe, clean environments for kids ages birth through 5th grade to learn about the story of Jesus and how to live like Him. We use songs, stories and interactive teaching to engage your kids, and help the Word of God come alive for each of them. Kids ministry takes place during all services on Saturday and Sunday.
For students grades 6-12, we offer NEXT Student Ministry on Thursday nights from 6:30 to 8:30pm. We engage students in intentional community and run small groups that are age-appropriate and help your kids tackle the challenges of following Jesus in the real world. And we have a LOT of fun. We also do retreats and camps throughout the year. Your kids won’t want to miss it!
Anything else?
We meet on Saturday nights at 5:30pm, and Sunday mornings at 8:30 and 10:30am. We’re located at 2024 Cressman Rd in Schwenksville, PA. And we’re looking forward to seeing you soon!
