What are some strategies you use in your Buddy Ministry?
To assist with transitions, we use visual schedules in the classroom and customizable next/then velcro boards. We also use fidget tools, noise-cancelling headphones, and weighted blankets in our classrooms and our Sensory Room.
Do you serve all children with special needs?
Our volunteers work with families to determine the specific needs of your child and any needed skill sets they may have. We will try to accommodate your child’s needs during our services to the best of our ability.
Who will be caring for my child during the service?
Our Buddy Ministry is a group of wonderful, loving volunteers who have been trained and screened in special needs ministry. Each volunteer has also passed all Pennsylvania clearance requirements.
Should I worry about the safety of my child?
At check-in, your child will receive a nametag with a matching parent number for pick-up after the service. We have a security team monitoring inside and outside through a radio system. Children are always with more than one Buddy/KIDS & Littles team member.
How does it work?
STEP 1

STEP 2
Let's chat! One of our leaders will schedule a time to chat to gather specific information to ensure the Buddy Ministry would be able to meet the needs of your child.
STEP 3
Time for a plan! Upon completion of our Child Profile Form, we will configure an individualized plan for your child during our worship services!
STEP 4
You will be asked to participate during a service in the appropriate KIDS or Littles room with your child for an observation time.
STEP 5
Finalize the plan! With proper communication & feedback, we'll formalize and review the strategy & expectations of a service.
STEP 5
A buddy is made! Wooo! Your child will attend services with a buddy to meet their specific needs.
